"Educating the mind without educating
the heart is no education at all."

- Aristotle

Our Story

Years of research and prayer brought together a small group of like-minded parents and grandparents to begin the process of starting a new educational option, a classical Christian school, in the Hayward area. The first official Steering Committee meeting was held in March of 2023, resulting in the formation of Trinitas Classical Academy (herein referred to as TCA or Trinitas). TCA is a 4K through 2nd grade grammar school and intends to add at least one grade level every year to become a 4K though 12th grade school. Trinitas offers a “back to basics” education that fosters a love of learning and a life of service to God, family, and community. Current board members include: Brian Ahlgren, Amy Dieckman, Jean Lutz, Kelly Niebuhr, and Laura Zeigle.

TCA is a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and the Classical Latin School Association (CLSA). Our board members and staff have received much support and extensive training from these two associations, as well as from the Herzog Foundation. Our curriculum provider is Memoria Press, which specializes in classical Christian curriculum.

About Us

Our Mission

To partner with Christian families and provide a classical, Christ-centered education.

Our Vision

Training up leaders who impact the culture for Christ.

Our Name

The name, Trinitas Classical Academy, differentiates our school from other schools in our community. The name was purposefully picked to be distinctly Christian and distinctly classical. With Latin being an essential pillar of classical education, we chose to include it in our name - Trinitas is Latin for Trinity. Trinity was chosen to be in our name to be representative of our school’s deeply held Christian beliefs which are woven into every part of our school day and operations. We are committed to the classical pedagogy and being a Christ-centered school.

"Ad Gloriam Dei"

You’ll notice when looking at our logo the phrase “Ad Gloriam Dei” arching across the top. This Latin phrase means “for the glory of God”. This phrase was chosen as a part of our logo to keep our hearts and minds oriented towards loving, honoring, and giving glory to the Lord in all that we do as a school.
